Libras: Hard to spot?

So OK,
We are all budding astrologers, here. We all know that "Sun signs are just the tip of the iceberg" when it comes to personality, and/or trying to figure out a person's "sign." There are all sorts of technicalities to look out for: Sun sign in one sign (and it's particular ruling element), but a cluster of planets in a different sign (and/or element), the person's moon sign and/or rising sign in a different sign, the person's upbringing, genetics, yadda-yadda-yadda. You get the point.

Yet, with all of this, us budding astrologers *still* have our moments where we can meet someone (without spending a significant amount of time with them), and pinpoint *exactly* what their Sun sign match is. That's one of the fun little perks of getting into astrology; guessing someone's Sun sign.

However, I've noticed a little bit of a pattern (at least in *my* experience); out of the many times I've put myself to the test of trying to determine someone's *sign*; Libras were--hands down--the *hardest* for me to pinpoint. I've accurately pinpointed many Virgos, Scorpios, Capricorns (and many others, too), but Libras don't always come out the way you expect them to. It's usually not until after I've spent a significant amount of time with the person, and/or after the person flat out tells me their birthdate, that I find out they are Libra. I've also noticed this pattern (but in much less terms) in some Gemini's, some Pisces, Aquarius (and a few Scorpios). I find when I come across many Libras, it's hard to tell which "sign" they seem the most like; almost like I have a hard time choosing between 3 or 4 (sometimes more) signs. Sometimes, they flat out don't seem like *any* of the signs. Again, I've found that many times when I play this "guessing" game, and after some time, I still can't quite come to a firm choice, more often than, not, they turn out to be Libras (and lesser times, the other 4 signs I mentioned turn out to be the case). I think I have an idea why this may be:

For Libras, it could be because quite a few of them have a highly vacillating nature (inwardly, not necessarily on outward terms), while some cleverly know how to camouflage their thoughts/feelings/motives/personality (whether it's behind a cool-calm-collected poise, or behind an air of chic, or at the total other end of the spectrum - and trust me, it's there - behind an air of toughness, sometimes outright aggression.) Libras are all over the freakin' place--there are *so* many kinds of them (yeah, I know, that can be said of any sign, but I see it here, more than anywhere else).

For Gemini's, it's probably for the obvious--they are supposed to be dualistic, so they seemingly change on the drop of a hat.

For Aquarius, well, they're supposed to be weird as hell, and unpredictable, and at times, it shows.

For Pisces I think because they are the last sign of the zodiac, so they are supposed to have a little bit of all the signs that came before it (and likewise, they are said to standout from the other signs, alongside that.)

And for the even fewer Scorpios where I encountered this kind of situation, it may be due to the fact that Scorpios *are* supposed to be the most...mysterious... and...hidden...

There should be some interesting responses to this topic. Nothing necessarily worth taking *too* seriously, it was just a fun little experiment that I thought I'd share with the other members on this tribe.

Because we 'dabble' so much, are willing to try anything and accept so much diversity, I can see how this can be :-)

you wanna know what it is that gives away libras??? it's that freaking smile! you know ,,. the one where you ask yourself if they are an angel from paradise or a devil strait from satan... Yeah thats the one , it will kill you . I am a libra myself and i dont really observe libra girls or even myself for that matter with the smile thing, but each and every Male libra has it. Two days ago I was at the club..I feel this presence ,,the libra one)..and I look to the side of me and I get flashed this smile i cant even describe , along with that lil twinkle goin on in the eyes that always accompanies a libra smile , and I just said "You're a libra aren't you". Aw shit , he says ..well, my birthday is october 10th, so whatever that is... this is just one of the many many many times i know i'm dealin with a libra cuz of that smile that could kill you. It's the second deacon who does it best.. libras are evil . I am one and I admit it, at least I make a conscious effort to change the weaselish -like things we all do and any libra who acts all sweet and innocent is equally capable of just as much evil. Its hard to change your tendencies of the sign you were born into . but you need to make an effort to improve. Sorry. Bein a libra is an inner battle all day every day and after loving one once it really opened my eyes to how messed up we can be and not even be aware of it. We stand for justice and all that but most libras are not fair in their relationships if you really look at the reality of it. Can anyone say double standards? I love us but hate us equally. Every libra needs to fall in love with another libra and you will be given a wake up call of a lifetime about who you really are. I tend to go off on tangents , anyways...

Lindsay, that post of yours was quite...there's no other way to put it...brilliant. It pains me to admit that I met my matches (particularly in *extreme* stubbornness.) Boy oh boy, does your post ring some *serious* truth to it. In particular, it reminds me of when I was younger (in my pre-teens), I knew a girl (we never got involved per se, but it may have happened if we had more time), and we connected fairly well. She was nice and pretty, and easy to talk to. But, we would have our disagreements too, and when we would argue, man, would we ever go at it. Looking at the girl, you'd never know she would be so stubborn and unyielding (and crafty, all the same). Gosh, she used to PISS me off, so badly, because I would always feel like I was...had! It was INFURIATING! I could *never* win an argument with her, and by the time we would get done bickering and carrying on, I'd practically be trying my hardest to fight back tears (and I'm normally *not* one to break easily; I'm usually the one breaking down others.) And almost everytime, when it would be over and done with, she'd give me this apologetic look that was at once sorrowful and innocent, and yet patronizing at the same damn time. OOF!, she used to burn me up with that, and all I could really do is look stupid, and stumble over myself trying to say something even remotely coherent. Looking back now, it's all pretty funny, but back then, it was sheer humiliation. At once she could make me feel so good, and at the other spectrum, she could totally put me through sheer hell. Thinking about it even more, it was kinda sexy. And, yep, this damn girl was a Libra (Oct. 15), with multiple planets there, as well (also like me.)

Physically we seem to fit a pattern..and it is not concrete at the same time. I can spot most air signs and fire.

We often have non descript haircolor, eyecolor, an average height, varied interests. We either are at height of fashion or way style setting our own look. We have soft rounder features (and a bit too rounded if our chart has indulgent influences) big smiles and modulated voices. And the smile is often dazzling since our vanity would never allow anything like damage or stains to show. Our perfumes are usually strong yet indistinct, often sweet like many Calven Klien Eternity for men, or obsession if you got a Leo Moon like me. we sit still with fidgiting hidden to rubbing a glass rim or tapping feet.
We always look "familiar". That can't put a finger on it, don't I know you from work/school/ are you related?
    and a lil more angular.
Geminii are fidgity, talkative and more attention grabbing. They are ususally fairer and taller. They are artfully ingenous as they reel you in. Bet half the car salesmen in the world are Geminiis! They are good at making fast impressions and switching on the fly to adapt to what clicks for you. Like and Aries that can pretend interest in you. If they are really interested in You man they can double that charm.
Aquarians, are often quicky, eclectic and downright weird. A libra on hallucigens. They are a lil less adaptable despite the outward weirdness that seems to scream noncomformaty. They swing from thin pia Zadora types to more Libra looking in calmer ones.

So I have found with those I've met
